Ireland Challenge

This challenge is the Ireland equivalent to the UK's Land's End to John O'Groats.  You will ride from Mizen Head, the most southerly point to Malin Head, the most northerly point over 7 days.

We're proud to be partnering with Against Breast Cancer on this cycling challenge.  You can ride for them, for your own charity or just for your own challenge!

Trip Information

General Information

The ride starts at Mizen Head on the Sunday, but you should arrive into Cork on Saturday 14th July, where we will meet you. You will be driven down to the south west of Ireland, by minibus that afternoon, staying in the beautiful coastal town of Schull that night.

Early on the Sunday morning you are then taken on to Mizen Head to start your challenge.  Enjoy the rugged peninsulas of West Cork, County Kerry, Killarney National Park, the famous Burren National Park and through the Mamturk and Bluestack mountains.

The ride finishes at Malin Head on the following Saturday, where we will stay overnight before departing on Sunday 22nd from either Derry Airport (to Birmingham, Liverpool or Stansted) or Belfast Airport (other UK regional airports).

FULLY SUPPORTED TOUR, You will be able to cycle at your own speed throughout the day.  Cycling leader plus support vehicle carrying your luggage, and food for you during the day, the van will stop on the roadside for your lunch.

Weather

The weather along the west coast of  Ireland is notoriously varied. Prepare for sun, rain and wind. 

Bike Information

We can collect and deliver your bike from an agreed address.  Our vans are specially equipped to transport your cycle safely and securely. The cost of cycle collection and delivery is from £30 each way.

We recommend a road bike with 25 to 32 mm tyres. Mountain bikes are NOT suitable. Please ensure you have your bike fully serviced prior to collection and that it is suitably equipped to complete the challenge. A support vehicle accompanies the rides throughout the tour except on the optional rides and you can access your daypack throughout the day if you prefer not to wear it. You need to bring is your own helmet.

     

    Price Information

    OPTION A

    Sponsorship Option Pay £300 non-refundable registration fee at the time of booking. 

    You will have a £1500 sponsorship target to meet for Against Breast Cancer.  With this 'minimum sponsorship' pledge option, you must submit 80% of your fundraising target to the charity 10 weeks before the departure date or you will be charged the remaining amount directly.

    OPTION B

    Self-Funding Option Pay £300 non-refundable registration fee at the time of booking.

    The balance of £695 will be due 10 weeks before departure. With this option you are responsible for the full cost of the challenge, there is no minimum sponsorship target. If you wish to ride for a charity of your choice you can, if the charity agree to help fund you please contact us directly to arrange.
